Felicity Jones is an British actress who is most well-known for her performance as Jane Hawking in the critically acclaimed movie The Theory of Everything. Jones began acting at the age 12 and worked on various TV series, plays and films. Jones made her debut as an actress by appearing in the TV film The Treasure Seekers. Then she played Ethel Hallow in The Worst Witch, and the follow-up Weirdsister college. She also played Young Ruth in her first movie Flashbacks of a Fool and then went on to star in many movies. Her acting gained her fame with films such as The Invisible Woman, and The Amazing Spider-Man. However, it was the performance she gave on The Theory of Everything that brought her an Oscar for the very first time. Jones received a lot of praise from critics as well as viewers as she played Hawking's ex-wife for the Stephen Hawking biopic. Inferno is an Tom Hanks thriller was her following role. Jones was named British Artist of Year 2016 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles in recognition of her outstanding talent and contribution to the cinema.
